My name is Harpreet Kaur Dawett, 27, Brit-Asian. I am a freelance urban/street photographer based in Coventry, West Midlands. I was born in London and moved to Coventry when I was young. I went to Coventry University to study Journalism and Media where I focused a lot on news in the city, from here I began to really see a side to Coventry that wasn’t in the public eye. The talent, the beauty and the art.

I got into photography when my dad gifted me my first camera after graduating. I experimented and used my media contacts to shoot at music events with big UK artists, here I began to realise how good at I am at the craft. I have such a big place in my heart for street fashion and music. I want to be an inspiration for other female photographers.
